Summer of Play

Every child deserves to play. Every child needs to play.

Play is vital to childhood development, at all ages and stages—not something to be compromised or ignored. But the opportunity to play is not the same for all kids, for a variety of reasons.

Show you value children and play. Help the Greenfield School PTO promote a Summer of Play for our K-8 students this year by contributing basic, classic outside play toys and safety items. We will distribute these items to our students the last week of school. Your support will show our children their community cares about them and wants them to play happily and safely, as all children should be able to do.

The Greenfield School PTO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and as such donations are Federal tax-exempt (EIN: 46-0890028). We are requesting items such as:

  • Sun screen, Band Aids, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, gardening toys, balls, bug spray, sunglasses, art supplies, yo-yos, jump ropes, and more.

For Family and Friends

There are three ways to support the Summer of Play at Greenfield School:

  1. Please see our Amazon wish list for item suggestions. You may order online and items will be shipped to our PTO representative.

  2. You may drop off donated new items at one of our generous business supporters:

    • Murray Avenue Apothecary (4227 Murray Avenue)

    • Greenfield Veterinary Hospital (701 Hazelwood Avenue)

    • Or email the PTO to arrange a drop off.

  3. Make a financial donation through our PayPal account. Please type "Summer of Play" in the memo line.

For Businesses and Community Organizations

Businesses and community organizations may donate and participate in two ways:

  • By setting up a donation box at their organization/business and gathering items, or

  • By contributing a tax-deductible monetary donation.

Please fill out the form below if interested in donating. We greatly appreciate all our donors and would acknowledge business/organization donors publicly in the following ways:

  • Using social media to promote the location of drop-off boxes,

  • Posting thank-yous and business links on our website and a printed flyer for all families, and

  • Including a material of your choice in our Summer of Play boxes. (These could be coupons, business cards, etc. Please note, however, we can not include anything overtly promotional for religious organizations, but we can include a thank-you recognition with a logo and contact information.)

If your organization/business would like to participate as a sponsor of the Summer of Play at Greenfield School, please fill out this form and we will be in touch soon.

Thank you!
