Read-a-thon

Welcome to the 4th Annual Read-A-Thon! 

We are so excited to bring back the Read-A-Thon for another year. From March 13 to 24, we are challenging all students to aim to read at least 30 minutes a day to help raise money for the PTO. Students can ask friends and family to cheer them on by making pledges. Directions on how to participate are listed below. 

1.  Sign-up to be a “Super Reader” at https://go.rallyup.com/gfreadathon2023/ Every student that signs up to be a “Super Reader” will earn extra Gator Bucks for the Spring Extravaganza. 
2. Get reading! Record your time spent reading each day either on the log sheet on the back of this flier or on your Rally Up Participant Page by clicking the “log hours” button. Try to shoot for at least 30 minutes each day. Parents: Reading to your child also counts towards their minutes! 
3. Share your Rally Up page with friends and family. Ask them to help cheer you on and make a pledge to the school. Every pledge helps the PTO fund events and more at school. Note, students do not have to raise money to be considered for a top reader award. They just need to log their time to be considered. 
4. Before the end of the Read-A-Thon (midnight on March 24), log the HOURS (not minutes) you spent reading on your Rally Up Participant page. The grade that collectively reads the most will win an Italian Ice Party. The top 3 readers in each grade will win: - 2 items* of their choice from the next Scholastic Book Fair  (* books, posters, pens, toys, and crafts all qualify) - Greenfield School T-shirt and Gator Gear Note: If you have any difficulties logging your reading time or have any questions, please email the PTO (ptogreenfieldk8@gmail.com) and we can help!
